The New Petra Hostel.
Not the most recommended of hostels, but if you insist on staying in the Old City of Jerusalem, Little Jerusalem would most assuradly recommend The New petra Hostel, with affordable prices of private rooms and dorms, and a great view of the Old City from the rooftop.
New Petra Hostel offers the breadth of choices for accommodation types – from simple to luxury. There is even the option to rent a tent or mattress and camp out on the rooftop under the Jerusalem stars.
Located near to Jaffa Gate, the hostel is well situated to allow you to explore the city. Free services include WiFi and a safe, and the hostel also offers other services at an additional cost like a luggage and airport shuttle service.
The hostel was opened in 1830 and has enjoyed a long and interesting history with guests that include Mark Twain and General Allenby.
